Reveiw: Coxey's Army "Stand Together. Keep The Faith."

This album starts off with the song "Vagabond Son" It paints a beautiful picture of the open road and finding a way to survive while living the ramblin' life. This song is very catchy and upbeat. I think any musician that has spent some time on the road will appreciate this one. It gets the blood flowing and builds great excitement for what is to come from the rest of the tracks.

The next song is called "Blue Collar Pilgrim". This song to me, is about a guy facing burnout from the every day grind. This is a message to him and his type, "Don't give up! Don't ever give in!" I know a lot of us can relate to that for sure. It's very hopeful. Makes ya feel good.

I've had the pleasure of seeing and playing shows with these guys. They are full of energy and always put everything they've got into what they do, especially this album.

"Faithful" is the 3rd song. It's about losing a faithful friend. Someone who served their community well. They will be missed by many. They always are. Hug your friends every time you get the chance. "We'll never stop singing your song."

Song 4 "'Til The End Of The Line" This song about sticking together and fighting the good fight! No matter how hard times get always and forever. We need songs like this, songs that remind us that we are not alone. These types of tunes boost moral and improve progress.

The 5th song is called "The G5C" This song is fast, and powerful. It starts with a quick build up and rolls forward like a tank in battle. It smacks you in the face like you looked at it funny. This is a legit punk rock song. Heavy on the bass guitar, and some killer leads. The drum fills are quick and on point!

All of these dudes are veterans in the scene. It shows in every song. So much talent.

The next song is called “Send ‘Em Packin’” This song is about keeping hope through times of abuse. Another banger for sure. Once again songs like these are needed. “Keep your head held high, don't let em drag you down. Give em a chance and they'll crush you into the ground!” great lyrics.

The 7th song is called “Runaway” This song hits a little differently than others so far. It's pretty folky. Very catchy. It shows that these guys are no “one trick pony”. They can bring a lot to the studio or to the stage! I dig this one a lot.

Song 8 “The Ballad Of A Prideful Man” This one is a proper ballad about a man who walks alone in life. In his mind he doesn't need anyone. That may be his very downfall. We all could use a friend, we could all benefit from real connections with other human beings. That's how we learn and grow.

Song 9 is called “Farewell,God Speed.” It features Tobin Bawinkle and its a soft song about losing a friendship. Unfortunately sometimes that happens. Its always hard. This is about remembering the good times.  “it's not forever friends but still I wish you well” This song is very melodic. Amazing instrumentation. Acoustic guitars. Sounds like brushes on the drums and mandolin!

Song 10 “Clarion Call” Another fast banger. Starts with a rad super punk rock riff, with a sweet lead reminiscent of 90's skate punk. The bass is also shredding. There are killer drum breaks!

The 11th song is special to me. You can actually spot a picture of me in the original video for it on youtube. That's pretty cool to me. This is my favorite song and what introduced me to this band. Like I said before, I have been playing shows with these guys forever. Especially Nate and Ryan back in the FBS days. I'm stoked to be able to say that. This is the ultimate anthem of hope! It has everything you need to get pumped.

THE FINAL SONG #12

“Take Heart” Its a soft and slow but powerful. Its about being tough and surviving together! It sums up the entire theme of this killer album.

This album was a great ride. Full of amazing instrumentation and punk rock vocals (the best kind) These guys put a lot of work into this one. I hear it. I was happy to spend hours listening to every song multiple times over months. Yeah.. it takes me a minute sometimes. But I seriously love these dudes and this album. I obviously suggest you give it a listen check it out here https://www.coxeysarmy.com
